Thanks for translating this. Unfortunately you fell for the newbie trap and used the 1280x resolution resample pages for editing instead of the original raw which is around ~1454 x 2062. For gallery viewing, e-hentai downsamples all images to 1280x resolution so if you downloaded the pages without using the original source link, you got the reduced version instead.

Another possibility is that you downloaded the raw from one of the aggregator sites such as NH. These sites only copy galleries from e-hentai at resample quality and thus don't have the original resolution versions available. You shouldn't use these sites as a source for your raws.

Always check that you're using the original raw before you start editing. If you ever see the resolution being 1280x something, then most of the time that means something is wrong and you got the wrong version.

Here's some ways you can download the original full resolution version of any gallery on e-hentai:
1) Torrent download if a torrent is available. Avoid any torrents labeled 1280x though.
2) Click on Archive download and then Download Original Archive.
3) If you prefer to download one page at a time, make sure you download using the Download Original Source link located below each opened image in the gallery.

Why would you go for lower resolution on purpose lol? Makes no sense. It's gonna get downgraded to 1280x by the aggregators anyway, but at least using the original rez has archival purposes for EH.

One reason is that I initially prefer 1280x for chaotic works like andou's. The second is that this is still a censored version I have not yet made enough process into uncensoring as that will take time to do so because of mosaic redraw; same for the other two before. The third is that I would like people to support andou directly beforhand, by either getting the later less censored stand alone or the tankoubon once it is collected with other works into one, for the small minimal size difference.
I don't really think anything is archive-able on EH anymore, sadly. Any gallery can be taken down at any moment once certain oversea distributers get a liecense with the respective publishing company. This makes me actually glad aggregator sites archive content from EH to keep the effort people put into works alive. I mean neither in a malicious way, but these are my reasons and if desired it is very easy to highten the resolution to a bigger format with tools like waifux2.

I need further enlightenment.

1) How does 1280x make it easier to work on? You can zoom out/in on Photoshop, so the size is irrelevant. If anything, using higher rez might even make it easier.
2) So you're telling me you're eventually going to re-release the galleries at original resolution... once you're done de-censoring them? What's the difference here? Why duplicate the work?
3) That's noble, but I don't think anyone's going to buy the untranslated tank or doujin just to get access to higher resolution. This makes no sense. They'll just contend with a lower rez English version lol.
4) Yes, galleries can be taken down on EH due to copyright strikes. Thankfully, these are also archived... on chaika. Plus, EH still houses tens of thousands of works. It's basically the Library of Alexandria of hentai. I think it's in the best interest of everyone if we try to keep the library and its works to the highest possible standard, no?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your translation work, but I truly fail to understand your logic here.

1) As said, it is just my personal preference for the intial release of it.
2) Well, I just thought it would make people happy since I often hear people disliking mosaic censor. If it's not desired then I won't upload them once I'm done. Hadn't seen it from the view of it just being a dublicate, sorry.
3) Well, then I should proberly not work on translating ero works anymore. Because this is the points Irodori and Fakku also use constantly to disvalue why free translations "hurt the industry" which I never agreed with and refuse.
4) Tbh EH has lost that status for me since a long time now. Yes, it still has a vast catalog, but with how much just simply vanishes due to the abuse of copyright by the certain holders it has become a shadow of its former self. I honestly would like for more alternatives to it to come into existence that are not just aggregator sites [though I must admit I'm not familiar with chaika].

Well, that is kind of hard to believe when I get a discussion, spanning over multiple comments and people actively downvoting me for my reasons, on my hand why I uploaded this with just minimally smaller sizing than one prior upload to EH in the upload of the magazine it was featured in, but thanks nonetheless and apologies to all people that were inconvenienced by it as that wasn't my intention. If I ever work on an ero work again, I will take care to use and upload the biggest format aviable; again sorry for the inconvenience.

None of this is mean-spirited. As I said, your translations are appreciated. Unfortunately, EH is literally the only thing besides official releases/localizers that provides any sort of original content, the rest just being aggregators.

De-censoring is fine, don't get me wrong. I just don't really see how it justifies using lower rez for the censored version.

Yes, you're right on 3). FAKKU and Irodori de-value this kind of work by saying it hurts artists by denying them sales, an absolutely retarded take as the piracy argument has been debunked many times already. What I'm saying is that using a lower rez won't necessarily encourage people to buy the untranslated doujin for higher rez.

Anyway, don't get discouraged. Nobody's trashing your work. Good quality translations are always welcome.
