Was literally about to ask this myself. It was pretty clear early on that she was just going along with it, and I was gonna type that out then, but I thought "What if the person tagging it as such wasn't a complete idiot and saw something that happened later? Maybe if is tagged in misc. could be valid, becouse the mind control(hypnosis) is the setting of the history.
But, definitively it shouldn't be on the female, male tags.

I can appreciate that the theme can be enough to rev someone's engines (heck, it got even better for me the moment I realized what was happening), or even the idea of playing around the theme without it actually happening. But the problem is that it ends up rendering the tag meaningless for people looking for or avoiding actual instances of hypnosis/mind control. And then there's the clear tag definition:

"Description: Forcing a participant to do something on their own, but against their own will.
Notes: Should not be confused with blackmail or possession.
Gender: The gender of the one being controlled determines if the tag is placed in the female or male namespace."

Even if I concede that there's a very slim possibility that the hypnosis was actually successful (which I don't), it's hard to argue that anything that transpired next was something against her will. She's even thinking freely during the moment before penetration where she almost confesses that she'd saved her virginity for him.

It's a situation that, much like with the inseki, domination loss, focus anal and even anal intercourse tags, differentiation by way of sub-tags would prove more useful to people seeking or avoiding a work than lumping everything under the same umbrella. Maybe "faked hypnosis" or "pretend mind control" would suffice.

This is delicious. I know it's not really mind control and shouldn't be tagged but I really wish fake-mind control was a tag. It really pushes my buttons. So do short-stack tomboys. Never have too many of those.
The former is pretty hard to find, though the latter is a bit easier. I also like that he's a bit rough with her but it turns her on. Hard to find that without it being a hardcore work.
Something I've noticed with hentai, but you rarely get light male on female rough play during sex. I mean, even at the level of just spanking and some hairpulling. In the past they (you know who) manage to separate sleeping tag by creating "closed eyes" tag. The problem is how many years of it took them
Lumping them together certainly will make a mess.
