Fushoku is my favourite eromangaka right now, and it's not only the unique and lovely artstyle they have but that [especially with regards to their more recent output] their characters tend to feel a lot more real, for lack of a better word. A lot of the time characters in the genre will tend to feel as though they exist only to serve the purpose of meeting each other and slamming their bodies together [not that there's anything wrong with that when that's your objective as an author], but I do enjoy how Fushoku characters have that extra depth. I dunno. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass.

I did shrooms for the first time the other week and it was one hell of a ride. Had a challenging experience but I still strongly recommend! Got a fantastic look into my psyche.

Yeah Fushoku is going there but imo Ikuhana Niiro is still the best when it comes to giving their characters life. Even admitted their scenarios are based on their frineds

Aye, Ikuhana Niiro's also fantastic. Fushoku's art is ultimately what edges them out in my personal canon.
That's not a slight against Ikuhana's work, I love their art as well- I simply prefer Fushoku's just that extra bit.

I've seen a lot of people with this sentiment but they're wrong. Fushoku draws noses in profile quite differently from Fujimoto Tatsuki, and there's a Kino's Journey doujinshi on here from 2016 by them that has a very different style from contemporary Fujimoto work.
