@ runningnooblet: Well it WAS commissioned. It's not like you're forced to stay on the train, though. You can hop right off whenever it stops. (I like the other Palcomix where Tails and Dale were fucking bitches every chapter. So yeah.)

@ kiwino: The same thing can be said about the Transformers franchise. We started to like Michael Bay's version because reasons. And then, for those same reasons, we now hate what Michael Bay does. People change. And sometimes, the product you need to make your money on needs to change as well. But not to the point where it becomes too much cringe to enjoy.

Oh, and then there's changing Mulan from "a happy cartoon movie about a Chinese girl trying to fit into China's manly army" to "a pro-Beijing whatever-that-shit-was flop." It's as if nobody saw those old, bad-ass Chinese martial arts movies about fighters dance-fighting and shit.
