My guess is that you downloaded the preview images and not the full size pics in some of these. Any of the images with Sample at the front of the filename is not the full original image, just a resampled preview, guessing you downloaded from SankakuComplex. Others make the same mistake, often because they use an image ripper program that isn't configured to grab the original image, it vexes many on the site as even after being told about it there are some uploaders who keep doing it.

Actually I downloaded these pictures from https://rule34.xxx/ though some of the pictures I download now that I think of do contain the word "sample" on them. I always thought of those pictures as sort of an enticement by artists to get people over to the Patreon or something. The only time I ever used an image ripper program to upload an album the album ended up getting expunged due to the site admins feeling that the images were too small. I was disappointed and figured "thems the rules" and never did it again because quite frankly I never quite figured out how to download full size images with an image ripper program. These are all images I download during my usual wanking sessions.

A lot of sites do the resampled preview thing, even E-Hentai does it, it saves bandwidth for really huge pics. For the Rule34 site, and many others, go to the Left side of the page and look for where it says Original Image, that link will get you the full size copy of the image, also many sites have a text message above the images that are resized/resampled letting you know, E-Hentai has it at the bottom of the image page. You'll get more views and downloads if you have the full size images in your galleries.

lol yeah back when I was new into porn I would download the thumbnail instead of the actual picture which requires you to click on it for its full size.
Then you have some ppl are just too lazy for that and never thought they could change the default size in settings..
But yeah I can see why certain ppl would get annoyed by this
especially if its a gallery set they really like or wanted, but the pictures aren't full sized so its like a spit in the face kind of thing.
