This is misc:"body swap", it's not supposed to be tagged male:"gender bender" or female:"gender bender". Please vote down those two tags and read the tag definition.

@danielwain Do those tags have to be mutually exclusive? how can I differentiate m<->f body swap with m<->m or f<->f body swap if not thanks to gb+body swap tag?

@antareja987 For those cases m:"body swap" and f:"body swap" exist, as opposed to misc:"body swap". The namespace makes the difference.

Tag definition of "body swap" explicitly states that it should not be tagged as "gender bender" in situations like this, so yes, they are mutually exclusive here. For both to appear it would need a separate instance of "gender bender", which is not the case here.
I warmly recommend reading the tag definitions since it clarifies all of this.

I have to disagree with the usage. To remove the tag "gender bender" means searching for situations where people change sex will not apply to this post. While searching "body swap" would pull up situations where a person switches bodies with the same sex.

Having the ability to use gender bender would find this post as well as other gender transforming situations, having the ability to use gender bender and body swap would let someone find situations just like this where they switch bodies with someone of the opposite gender.

@seenthat As I literally mentioned above, if you are looking for people switching bodies with the other gender, use the misc:"body swap" tag. The namespace in front of it makes the difference whether it is f/m, f/f or m/m body swap.
You can use the namespace in the search by writing it the exact same way I did in this comment(or one of the other ways of writing it). Alternatively, select the tag in the list above and click on "Show Tagged Galleries".

With that said, whether you agree or disagree or not doesn't matter to me. Those are the tagging rules and I didn't make them up. If you want to change that, you'll have to go to the forum. But rules are rules.

And to be more on topic with the doujin here: Looking forward to the next part, was great.

EDIT:
@seenthat That's a discussion you should bring to the forum. As I said, these are the tagging rules, I did not make them nor do I have any influence over them.
But rules are rules and unless they are changed, that's how they should be used on this site. And according to the rules, the "gender bender" tag is inappropriate.

To quote the body swap tag definition:
"Should not be tagged as gender bender even if the person swaps with someone of a different gender."

You can look up the usage guideline on the EHwiki. This is not the right place to discuss the tagging system as a whole.

And I am not disagreeing with you that this how the functionality works. I disagree with the idea that we remove the gender bender tag. If I want gender bender, I want it in all forms. If I want specifically body swapped gender bender then that is what I look for.

This is the same discussion I have had regarding the "brother" tag. It is to be used only when it is gays involved, but I disagree. A brother is a brother, regardless if it is to a sister or a brother. If you want gay only you would add the yaoi tag.

People don't seem to understand that tagging is a function that helps find specific situations. The more tags the better. But you shouldn't have one tag remove the ability of another, such as it is here. Why should the tag gender bender be removed? in the future when someone looks up gender bender this post won't come up, even though it clearly is a gender bent situation. And I know I never look for body_swap, even though I would enjoy many of them, because they don't come up as gender bender.

I hope you understand what I am saying.

It doesn't matter what you or anyone else is saying or thinking, this is about the rules of this site and you're supposed to follow them, no matter how stupid you consider them. If everyone just tags whatever they feel like, everything becomes a mess. If you have a complaint about when the tag applies or doesn't, take it to the forums and complain to the admins, don't just vote on stuff because you feel this or that way. I disagree with quite a few tag definitions as well, but that's no reason to mess up search results with inappropriate tagging.

You can't and it's one of the stupidest tag rules of the site, but it is the rules.

re: the "gender bender" vs "body swap" distinction, if you keep the tags mutually exclusive, how am I supposed to find all the content that fits my preferences?

Are you expecting me to make 10 different searches, leading to a ton of duplicated results, and wasting my time?
would you expect me to do "male:gender_bender OR male:body_swap OR misc:body_swap", which this site doesn't even support? I know I would hate to assemble that kind of search and keep it on a notepad file just to paste it to the search bar every time.

I recognize that there is a definition listed on this website, but I disagree with it. In my opinion, "Gender bender" refers to any situation where a character somehow experiences another gender. If a gallery is tagged body swap but not gender bender, i would assume two characters of the same gender swapped.

I'd compare it to venn diagrams. In one circle you have body swap, in another circle you have gender bender, and in the intersection point you have this comic. Tags absolutely shouldn't be mutually exclusive, imo.

Once more, your opinion on this doesn't matter when it comes to tagging, only tag what complies with the tag definitions, regardless of what you feel or think. I agree that some tagging rules are nonsensical and the lack of OR isn't helping, but that's just how it is. If you have a problem with an existing definition, complaining about it here does nothing. Go to the forums and list your complaints there, the admins can actually change the definitions, though they rarely do so. Yes, you're supposed to use separate searches, and if people just didn't tag whatever they feel like, you'd barely get any duplicates because the tags aren't supposed to be used together unless both are present at different points.

You wouldn't assume so if you read the tag definitions, where the significance of the namespace placement is explained. It might be unintuitive initially, but you learn to live with it.

As I said, take your problems with tag definitions to the forum, listing them here doesn't accomplish anything.

Ironic. I actually had the audacity to listen to what you said and I went to the forums to submit a proposal, and was summarily shot down, mocked and called autistic, and then they closed the thread.

Thank you for enlightening me as to how futile the effort was. I will not be making that mistake again.

I don't get it. There are dozens of posts that currently include both tags....not only that, but it makes little sense to not include them. More tags means easier time finding things.

And I agree with Bfodler....those forums are a cancer. Trying to even ask for help from there is akin to shooting yourself in the foot.

FYI, searching for misc:"body swap" (or any misc tag) tag is useless. It includes results from the "m" and "f" namespaces, so it's literally impossible* to search for gender bender body swaps. A ["body swap$" -m:"body swap$" -f:"body swap$"] search doesn't work either, since it excludes galleries with the tag under multiple namespaces.
(*There are newer tricks that do enable you to search for misc body swap, but clearly most people have no idea how to do that, including you, so it's for all intents and purposes unusable)

Sure, technically it is against the E-H rules. But when people have been mistagging things for a decade and *pretty much every other site on the internet uses the opposite definition*, then perhaps it's the rule that is wrong. Slavery was also perfectly legal at one point, you know? (Yes, an extreme example and not equivalent to the current scenario, but the point is that the "rules are rules" mindset is extremely dumb)

The problem is that this site wants "gender bender" to strictly mean physical transformations, excluding any other types of M<->F, e.g., possessions, skinsuits, body swaps. This is in contrast to how it's done everywhere else. At least it's been a little bit better here recently -- "gender bender" is finally allowed to coexist with "possession", and skinsuit galleries no longer have the "gender bender" tag vetoed.

Apparently they split "gender bender" in "gender change" (includes any situation where sombody ends up in the body of the opposite sex; this applies here) and "gender morph" (transformation of the body of a person; this does not apply here).
So everybody should be happy by now :).
