It's a euphamism for birth from what i can get. The women represent the sperm trying to get from one side to the other, and everything else represents the white blood cells, the body, terrible odds, as they're destroyed one by one so one can reach the end and be 'transformed.

To be more precise however;
It's more an excuse to draw sick shit and call it 'artistic'.
