When you think about it, it's surprisingly rare that people use canon superpowers in their porn stories.

Can't copyright ideas, only specific expressions. A particular power isn't copyrightable. I mean, just look at the the DC and Marvel parallels.

It's probably because most doujin are done with the specific characters just slotted into fill certain templates, without any real thought put into stuff.
