Could you please tell your editors, or who ever is responsible for exporting the files, to stop converting color images with 24bit colordepth to color images saved at 8bit colordepth indexmode.
By simply converting an image from one format to another no image quality can be gained only lost. And you lose image quality if you reduce the colordepth from 24 bit with 16.7 million possible colors to 8 bit colordepth with 256 possible colors.
