Speaking from an evolutionary perspective... shouldn't the parasite evolve to prompt the host to return to where they came from so it can spread...?

I mean, aside from the whole "it's fantasy etc etc" , It seems like at least a semi-sentient symbiotic parasite. Based on that, I could definitely see it being smart enough to know it can flourish and propagate in an environment/culture that's less globally available and more hospitable to the host. As the story shows, there are plenty of people willing to host a symbiote on the island, and people who wish to host one are welcome to come to the island, so the species has plenty of hosts with which to breed and spread. That said, when its hosts leave the island, historically, they haven't come back or spread much, due to the fact that they and their hosts are persecuted outside of that culture. So the symbiote would have likely figured its best spreading slowly in a place where it's accepted and able to continue its symbiotic relationship rather than attempting to spread solely through parasitism and have to hide and protect itself from attackers.

While I'm having trouble wording this statement, I do wish to get across to you the idea that 'who is choosing' is as important as 'what's being chosen'. Is it the parasite/symbiote selecting their 'chosen men', or is it the biological males 'choosing womanhood' through this method?

And that's the important bit, that these bio-men have choices beyond the symbiote to 'become women', as exemplified by Selma's Thistle.

Thanks, I actually hadn't considered that until you pointed it out. Definitely makes the wording throughout the comic make more sense, considering individuals that I had assumed to be biological males were shown with breasts prior to implantation of the parasite's eggs. I also didn't realize that the "hormonal effects" of Selma's Thistle being referred to on page 5 (gallery image 6) were the growth of breasts, and I had assumed that the effects were related to sex drive.

They're women by choice (or, well, trans identity is a bit more complicated than that, but it's enough for a ero-comic comment section and also explains the "Chosen Women" term), rather than based on what they looked like at birth.

EDIT: Also, it doesn't seem to actually... *work* on folks who aren't AMAB. The narrator specifically mentions them all being chosen women, and it's... not clear how they'd implant the eggs without a penis. It takes a lot more than hormonal alterations to make an AFAB person grow a penis compared to making an AMAB person grow breasts. (And for these purposes, I'm just entirely sidestepping intersex conditions that would make this a *LOT* more complicated, let alone the full range of phenotypic sex expression that exists even *without* being considered intersex. Sorry, biology nerd.)

Yes but it is a point of distinction and the whole purpose of the tagging system is to be accurate so people can search up exactly the kinks/fetishes they are looking for.
It's fine to tag this Shemale, dickgirl, feminization, gender morph, even gender change (to some degree) but Futanari implicit ally means "having both sex organs" which aren't present here. I don't feel it's correct to tag a purely shemale work (or trap or whatever) as Futanari but I'm sure people will still continue to tag it that way despite any logical argument...

My main complaint about this series is it doesn't really adequately detail the logistics of how exactly these succubi actually fight back.

The sexy parts are fine and I get that politics and espionage are a big part of wars, but we've been shown nothing that indicates they could survive getting blasted to pieces or incinerated by bombs and artillery. There doesn't seem to be much physically protecting these succubi or the succubi dragon things amid an invasive war.

It's not the premise itself that bothers me it's.... just how exactly does this symbiotic succubus species that bonds with humans protect you from getting shot beyond seducing your targets? Maybe this could work with a more primitive society I guess, but we are explicitly shown a scenario with apparent rifles and sailing ships equivalent to about the mid to late 1800s or early 1900s.

Most of these futa succubi are fighting against things that are not going to get close or interact long enough to seduce or infect apparently and they don't seem to be that seductive based on how much they're actively hiding and trying to avoid direct attention. It comes off like any sort of inquisitor or soldier or something would immediately kill them without much difficulty if the seduction didn't work. Maybe it's just a a small territory or island they're trying to protect?

I mean, okay, nice that the author is trying for some world building I guess, but how do these succubi not get shot in the face by guns or blasted into pieces by artillery or otherwise survive these things? We haven't been shown any of that. Even earlier works have the transformed succubi (not sure if they're in the same setting, but the similarity suggests it) using guns themselves for protection suggesting they really aren't any more durable or stronger than just standard humans despite the transformation. I don't mind when porn authors try major world building it's just that most of them don't do it well and attempts at it usually raise questions of how this setting works and functions beyond "and then they they fucked".

Aside from that, every work I've seen from sleepyjoslyn the art doesn't really do a good job of distinguishing masculinity and femininity which lowers the impact and interest of any sex change shown and it's not the first artist I've seen with that issue of apparent difficulty drawing a good secondary sexual characteristic distinction between men and women.

Your art has progressed significantly over the past years, but I don't understand why you still draw almost every character with these huge pitcher-like heads?

Literally every other aspect has gotten quite decent.
Hands and feet could always use some work and there's still some anatomy wonkiness.
This style reminds me the most of the manga/anime Osomatsu-san, which works well for a comedy series and less for anything an ounce of serious and/or sexy.

Not intentionally trying to be mean.
