Limit of images per gallery is 2000, OP, not however will fit into 500 MB. Size limit is 10000 MB, by the by - not 500 MB either. You can upload thouse batches in several sessions in ONE gallery.

>Max 2,000 files and 10 GB per gallery. Do not upload more than 500MB at a time, less if you have a slow connection.
