I even thought of using "my woman" directly, but that felt wrong too for the opposite reason. "My female" with a TN felt like a more appropriate middle ground.

Regarding some of the other questions, yeah at the end his "Twitter" profile shows him doing the stuff he's talking about in the last page, so investments, fx, etc. So I think the author means he's making money to keep paying the JK.
I was about to translate that part too, but unfortunately some kanjis were too much blurry and impossible to read, so I was afraid of making mistakes. You kind of get the picture if you look at his profile pic and the financial terminology.

Because they're pointless clutter. Yen conversions and basic TL explanations are noob traps that new TLs always feel like they "need to explain". Your audience a) mostly doesn't know or care about JP; and b) they can figure out the yen/USD ratio as it's extremely ubiquitous. If it was a really obscure reference, or a pun that's impossible to translate, then fine, but this ain't it.
