Name certainly didn't help here but this cosplayer seems to slap nondescript names on some of her non-GC sets as well.

But after trying reverse image search, checking her official store page (oddly enough she doesn't seem to be selling this one.....) and googling around I can conclude that the point farm exposed actual GC/RP this time.

So I am wondering, why doesn't this site allow generic cosplays?

Because you can argue pretty much anything to be a generic cosplay, the ban on realporn can't be enforced if that backdoor is left open.

Back in the day realporn was allowed but only if it was Asian, which honestly sounds nearly impossible in a world where immigration, photoshop and interracial marriage/heritage are a thing, looking at how many artists we have where the Asian/Western designation is just guesswork/gut feeling because their nationality is unknown. (Most people don't even know we split it based on nationality instead of artstyle to avoid subjectivity, not an ideal solution as some western artists try their best to have Asian artstyles and its not rare for Korean artists to have Western artstyles) don't think that kind of racism could really be enforced if the category was still accessible today.

About a decade ago discussion started on axing the least popular categories (non-h and Asian Porn) as both were a waste of database space compared to other categories and they were the biggest headaches for other reasons as well (ban on commercial non-h was often ignored. For Asianporn I couldn't find a explaination back but I'd assume the "Asian" part was already a pain to enforce as mentioned above)

There was a lot of people pleading to save the non-H content and they made it happen, but almost no fucks were given about Asian Porn so we can be happy we still got the compromise of keeping the old stuff.

Allowing Generic Cosplay would basically allow Realporn and by extend force the revival of the Asian Porn and probably giving up on the Asian restriction to maintain it, which would be extremely controversial as Western Realporn was considered too garbage to host even back then.

It would be nice if we could branch out in that direction completely but it would probably be spreading the scope of the site too wide and be too demanding on database/servers compared to the benefit/demand existing users have.

I mean. Given Nonsummerjack is known for cosplaying artist doujinshi/artbook OC characters, you'd think people would recognize them better then flagging her cosplay's generic cosplay.

@glovelove. It'd be a helluva coincidence to use a character design with: military latex uniform, short bob wig, military garrison hat with a military patch of a skull/wreath and have the cosplay wear glasses to mistake it for a generic cosplay that is not heavily inspired by the character in Masamune Shirow's W Tails Cat. The only thing off with the cosplay is the color of the wig, but that might have been picked more to go with the color of the background for the photoshoot.
