220 pages for a story that could be told in 40.

This is why most people don't like these Western 3D galleries. Given the nature of the medium/tool, the artists almost invariably think they're producing fully animated videos. And if they had the time, the skill, the computing power, and some voice actors, they probably *would* produce videos. But they don't have those things, so they take a bunch of screen shots and then expect the readers to use their imaginations to do the animating.

Well… no, I'm not going to do that. Life's too short. Learn how to compose your pages like a proper comic. It will slash your page count and make you a better storyteller.

Unless, of course, the inflated page count is the whole point, because you think it looks like you've done more work and therefore deserve more money/stars/votes/whatever.

I can hardly tell what's happening in the 1st half; just because it's night doesn't mean everything has to be super dark.

Go the video game route and give the audience an indicator that it's supposed to be dark and we'll suspend our disbelief in favor of being able to actually see what's happening. If you need something to be hidden in the darkness (Like the form of a monster or a character the audience shouldn't know about yet) then use an especially dark shadow or an obscuring camera angle.

I guarantee you that no one is going to complain that they can tell what's happening.

I have to agree with operation9. It is far to dark to see anything.
It seems to just be laziness on the part of the artist.
