You translated their names as "Luine" and "Ende". Maybe just maybe it could have been to go for "Ruine" instead "Luine" because than both of their names would have german nouns that kind of perfectly describe what he is now and what has happend to him.
Ruine = ruin (noun)
Ende = end

As far as I can tell with my limited japannese reading skills (and a katakana table for making sure), I checked how the names were spelled in the original after reading Ende as her name. Ive said this once and ill say it again, if you dont like the translation then do it yourself. LIke... ive seen you post stuff on here where I assume you commissioned quality translators and good on ya for it. But like this person is doing this for fun and yeah its not a good job but like... why trash on them, what purpose does that serve? Keep things constructive and guide them to improve. Its sickening dealing with the elitism on this site. At the end of the day most people want to jerk off and getting extra context from text aids in that goal so they probably wont have an eye for a quality translation

I still agree with you that we should not simply accept bad stuff like this because then it will become all too common, but you are going about it in the worst way possible.

you are armed with the knowledge of being able to tell that this work is a bad translation but you use that knowledge to degrade others. instead you can... idk like be a positive force in the community? encourage people to improve? offer resources to further have these fledgling translators learn Japanese? The more quality translators we have here the better. Like hell I bet you that if enough people who know how to translate shit band together and teach newbies we would have stuff start to pop off.

Some people do respond well to getting dunked on and try to improve that way I get that but I find that you have a much higher success rate if you take the time to actually be constructive.

I would first like to apologize for my ignorance. I will admit I allowed my emotions to get the better of me, I should have done more research before saying anything but well.... I was not exactly thinking straight when I posted this comment. I will admit I did not look into things even though I should have.

If in fact you or other translators have attempted to give ozi advice or resources to improve and he simply ignored them then yeah... he can go bugger himself.

I have a friend who attempted to post their first translation on this site and they were screeched at and were offered no support or guidance whatsoever to the point where they gave up on translating altogether due to their shattered confidence. I am still reeling from that. I still think my friend is being dumb for refusing to even attempt to translate anything anymore but there is not much I can do to encourage them anymore so when I saw your comment I kind of just.... made a lot of assumptions I should have not made.

Even so I don't plan to be quiet and keep my ignorance to myself, I intend to learn and you have given me a hard lesson today that I should educate myself more about this site and I thank you for it.

As for me lacking any uploads, I attempted to upload a rip for a h manga and stated in the comments to please inform me of any rules I am missing as I am new to uploading to the site and the gallery was expunged and I was not given a word as to why. I even messed about on the forums asking around but I was ignored or sent to a huge thread of convoluted forum posts without any explanation as to where I was supposed to look. I noticed that some of the rules posted were seemingly contradictory (then again I could have been just being an idiot) which led me to even more confusion. So my general impression of this site's community as a newcomer has not been the best; well a newcomer in a manner of speaking as while I've had this account for a good while I've not really attempted to engage with the wider community until recently.

Also I once attempted to do a petition post for a new tag to be added on behalf of a community I am a part of and I saw in the guidelines a tidbit that mentioned that if there was enough interest in the tag then it would have a higher chance of being approved. So I informed my community about the post and some of my friends commented on it to support the tag and the thread was immediately locked and I was accused of sockpupeting by the mods... so I almost got banned due to a huge misunderstanding. so that was yeah not fun. At that point I was very... jaded about this site as a whole

NATURAL interest in the tag. Not you going and getting as many people as possible to go post "ya i think so too" in the thread or whatever. Any website that does this sort of community voting (i.e., reddit) has this very same stipulation.
