Lifted directly from Mandarake: (https://k.mandarake.co.jp/auction/item/itemInfoJa.html?index=633766) as nobody has archived anything about this show. Little is known about it on the web, but it is mentioned in the public conscious of Japan for those who do remember it. This series ran from mid 1977 until 1978 and only had 20 (though JP Wikipedia says 26) episodes, which is relatively short for a broadcast show. The series was broadcast on Channel 12 (now TV Tokyo), funded by Nihon Keizai Advertising Co., and was shown in the early 80s in Italy during early attempts at localization.

The series is noted as being a mix of what was popular in children's broadcasting at the time, mainly mixing elements staggeringly from Sunrise/Tadao Nagahama's Combattler V and Toei's Run fast! Ruben Kaiser. The plot is as follows:

"F1 (Formula 1) racer Tabuchi Lock, who became the main driver of the supercar 'Gattiger', is equipped with the "solar energy engine" and forms the "Tiger Team" with his friends Hiroki, Ken, and Sachiyo. He challenges the Demon Clan who killed his father and mechanical developer, Dr. Tabuchi, to a big race for world peace."

In regards to character design, Shiro Yamaguchi is credited as the main key animator of the series as well as the overall character designer, whereas Akihiro Kanayama (Ashita no Joe animator, Daltanious' film character designer, Kamen no Ninja Akakage & Samurai Trooper character designer) handled all enemy designs.

These settei are printed on a light blue paper via xerox and are not your traditional xeroxes, but similar xeroxes have been found from late 60s productions like so: http://animenikansya.blog.fc2.com/img/2020060522562132b.jpg/

This series had a lot of materials made for children like most shows, but that seems to be all that is pertinent to it sans for its release in Italy; most, if not all production materials, are not readily available on the web sans for these. I enhanced them for legibility, but by no means are they really the best. If I had them in my hands physically to scan, I would, but this listing ended in 2020.

If you'd like to help me buy more texts to scan, I'd appreciate it! Any and all support is welcome.:
