@TheReallyWeirdGuy Kind of yes, kind of no. Tantric Yoga is a thing but the sexual nature is not always a factor, and that emphasis on sexuality has been overblown in the west. Though, it is still an important factor in some teachings. Tantric philosophies are actually so broad and have their roots in so many branches of thought within Hinduism and Buddhism that it's hard to define exactly what is considered a Tantric belief or practice. A tantra on its own is really just a text, practice, tool, or some other tradition, commonly but not always arising from Vedic teaching. Although, a common element of most tantric philosophy is re-evaluating the body and also female physicality and social roles, so sex can play part of a larger whole in that.
I'd do more research but the little I did is giving me flashbacks to the Bhagawad Gita and my humanities classes. Anyone who knows better, feel free to correct me if I got something wrong there.
