Note: For people with connection problems that do not allow them to download large files. You can send me a PM to get a link to a 1280 version if needed. Understand that it is easier to scan too large and then reduce than the other way around.
@cutegyaru : That's right. There may be several versions of paper scans of a tankoubon on the site. As for judging the quality of the scan, each one makes its own opinion. I will however give you the following elements of comparison concerning the previous version of Sakuraso - The colour pages scanned by Sakuraso look better even if he clearly abused a program like Topaz Denoise which alters too much the original result. - He cut almost 1 cm of content on each page because the debinding went wrong. The traces are visible and easily verifiable. On my side you have less than 2mm of loss. - The post process is clearly too high contrast which leads to the loss of many details on the light and dark tones. This is particularly noticeable on pages that take place at night. My leveling is done with the digital versions as a reference point which results in lighter midtones. - The resolution of the alternate version is lower. That said, all opinions are valid and I understand that you are defending what you paid for and the scanner you get along with. I don't want to get into a debate or any form of competition, I'm taking the time to respond this time because from my point of view I objectively think that my work has nothing to be ashamed of but I won't make a habit of it. Take the version you prefer, having the choice is a luxury, enjoy it and have a good read. Having said that, I would like to say that I appreciate your work as an editor. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
Edit : @cutegyaru Thank you very much for your message.
don't want to comment in the expunge, but to answer the question: both scans are paper scans. Pretty sure it's acceptable to have multiple scans of the same work (though I agree these are lower quality, sorry Mysael xd)
edit: i was just ribbing you, don't sweat it. i likewise appreciate your scans and your work
