As a Translator-editor who spend months working on an edition until the point where it can't be better, it's really discouraging to see that there are people who publish things like this that barely can be called an edition and see that people celebrate it. At least see some tutorials on youtube or something.

If you want to see a translation of RAW material do it yourself then, don't wait for other to do it, but do it well, RAW material deserve respect, fantranslators have the duty of do their work as much accurate to the original material as be possible, this guy is not putting nothing of effort on his edition, even my first edition is far superior than this, and seriously, seeing his edition quality, you are so innocent as to believe that he put some effort on his translation and this is not a machinery translation with some make up?

As a grateful leecher reader, I'm very grateful when something I like to be translated actually got to translated at least to the point it's not blatant mtl

Some of the stuff I follow never got update on it's undergoing a translation effort and at one point it can be years till it got translated cuz there's random stuff like translator lost interest, changed their heart and many more, and as a leecher reader that didn't keep up with the translator status, we wouldn't even know if a series is dead in the water or not

Take kurisu/himekuri latest and final chapter of slime possession alien, in the comment someone said the chapter has been paid for, and that was January 2022, it's already been august, other language of the said chapter has been released but English is nowhere to be found, just using this as one of the example

At least for me, I'm at the point where it's not picky and straight not MTL unlocalized and unreadable (due to the English didn't make sense) is fine by me

The stuff you wanna see get translated keep piling while the stuff that get translated is depend on who actually taking the job or interest of the said translator/group -

1st, telling someone , especially a free leecher reader to self translate is not really a good argument, you already hate a subpar readable work like this, imagine ppl like me use straight MTL from deepL or etc. And the fact still stand is the free leecher means I or we, don't have the time for the effort, too lazy or lack basic understanding to self do it in the first place

2nd, I do agree they deserve respect for accuracy and better quality translation, especially if they're superior than this, but like I said, the stuff you wanna see get translated keep getting piled on while some got translated due to paid or aligned interested. It's not a good mindset for the uncertainty, some or most even avoid works like guro, Necro, abortion and etc due to the nature of their works too

3rd If you think or know your version is far superior than this, then finish it, if you literally give up just becoz someone inferior than you (as you stated) put a heap of garbage translation like this, prove them wrong, prove you're right, just finish the work regardless, instead stopping halfway and stomp your feet in protest, let the reader be the judge of that instead. Prove it via better quality

And finally, 4th , I already stated, I'm not innocent, I'm just a tired free reader who consume stuff but kinda gave up on half of the stuff I hope get translated, as long as the quality is like this or better (with some effort of editing and not straight MTL), I don't mind, infact I want to encourage people to keep posting the stuff they translated (even tho it's trash to the eyes of other professional translator), who knows , they might get better along the way and probably redo their old work,

Just here to consume free stuff, live and die by leeching, and happy if it's the stuff I like got translated to at least this level translation or better. Most of us here just stop by, cum and forget, then revisit again in the future. This is the way.
