I was in the same boat @uploader, starting out not long ago. Feel ya 100%.
I bombed my first translation and the users toasted me for it lol. Got so much better since then.

You'll improve! Once you use the right tools and create a system you're comfortable with, there'll be a rapid progress curve. You'll start working much faster and able to devote more time to thinking about wording, and the quality will rise.
I think what is really tough for new translators for this one especially is the baby talk. They skip a bunch of letters. I know that's given me problems in this genre before.

I'll tell you what helped me the most, and you can see if incorporating it will help you too:

1) Google Lens - This one is huge for me. I'm assuming - since it sounds like we're at similar levels of Japanese - you're using Google Translate and DeepL a lot like me.
So if you throw an entire doujin onto your phone, you can scan a full page of text and copy it over to your PC. The higher quality the better it'll scan.
I save a ton of time not needing to draw hiragana or kanji in GT this way. Bookmark the translated text pages and you'll have the whole doujin in text form. That's what I do first now, always.

2) Paint.Net - I'm not sure what editing program you're using, but if you're not on something advanced like Photoshop then this program is great for translation work. It's lightweight, simple and has everything we need.

3) Anime Ace Font - That's what I use. You have to download it and incorporate it into your PC. Quite easy to do. If you don't like the font you're currently on, then that's an option. Never heard one complaint about font since I started using it. If you click on my profile you can see how it looks in my most recent upload.

4) DeepL - It's so much better than GT for sentence structure. Not perfect, but way stronger. It has a bigger vocab database too. I use both but it wins like 90% of the time. It gives you the option of changing each individual word to another listed option, if you weren't aware of this. Just click on the word.

@uploader Glad you liked it, and appreciate the support! Yeah I was surprised it didn't get done for a year. I guess the 35 pages scared people off. It definitely took a lot of work, but I was getting annoyed that no pro was picking it up.

It's not that I didn't understand something. It's that half the text of a bubble on the RAW was intentionally hidden. "Flavor text", Mikuni called it. So I had the choice of of using cut off dialogue or finding out what's underneath. Was very curious too lol, since it's one of the best parts. I figured it would make the page better if I had the whole speech.
But yeah, Mikuni is lovely with his fans.

It's good that you like the female diaper stuff, because that's the vast majority of his art. I'm in the unfortunate boat of only being into futa/male diaper stuff. Not much content for me out there :(
I wish Mikuni would find the happy middle ground and go futa like Goya did. But, alas...

I actually read this translation after commenting. You're farther along than I expected. You'll be fine. Just don't cave to the toxic posters who never translate anything themselves. Do it for the hundreds/thousands of people that will favorite it.
