Why would you level a digital version though? There was 0 need to level this. Most digital versions are fine as they are. The areas that are meant to be pure black or white already are and there's no noise to get rid of. Digital versions usually are how the artist intended their work to look like. With your unnecessary leveling, all you managed to do is destroy detail. Everything is now darker and the darker areas have slightly expanded, obscuring or outright destroying actual detail.
Do you level everything out of habit, even if it doesn't actually benefit the image? I suspect some people do. You don't have to level everything. Leveling should only be done if it can improve the image quality.

This has not been leveled. I have talked to my mates about it, and it seems that the color settings that I have for grayscale has caused the exports to look slightly darker. (Dot gain 20% instead of gamma 2.2)
There is no detail lost that I have seen so far except for a few places that are a little darker than the original.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure that it doesn't happen again.
