Helpful identification tips: When naming your cosplay folders, make sure the cosplayer name has both English and Asian characters. Then keep using that same combination of english and asian characters as a standard name in your computer. Then whip out the old Microsoft excel and paste all those standard names in. Then if there is ever a varant or a synonym of the same cosplayer, add that into the excel file so you know all their aliases. Use find (ctrl-f) in excel so that if there is ever a gallery with only asian characters, you can find it in excel with all the aliases and an English name you can easily remember. Also put all the associated social media links of that cosplayer in excel since they can have more aliases.
So an example would look like this 1. English Name Bailey loves chocolate
2. Asian name and all Aliases 白莉爱吃巧克力 @MonaEdward9 This is a perfect place to include 1-trick pony companies. An example of a 1-trick pony company is: [Shooting Star's (Saku)] In this case the cosplayer is "Saku" and her exclusive 1 trick pony production company is "Shooting Star's". Shooting Star's NEVER photographs other cosplayers, they ONLY photograph Saku. So in this case the 1 trick pony production company name should be put into this section and NOT in the "9. Cosplay Company / Photographer company / Magazines / Publications / Websites" column. Another example is [My Suite (Atsuki)] or [Sugar Myuku (Tenshi Myu)] or [Fantasy Factory (Komachi Siao Ding)] They are tricky, but once you identify these 1 trick pony companies you have another key word to find more galleries of your favorite cosplayer that may be hidden cause the original uploader omitted the cosplayer name and only included the 1 trick pony company name.
3. Index Name This is a name you will create for your cosplay folders and should be standardized for your personal use Bailey loves chocolate 白莉爱吃巧克力
5. High piracy Websites Websites featuring original quality files
6. Medium Priacy Websites featuring medium quality recompressed files
7. Low Piracy Websites featuring low quality files Still useful since they can identify the cosplay series and anime characters
8. Race White / Asian Useful since some white cosplayers have the same name as some asian cosplayers. Increasingly many asian cosplayers have english names and it is only a matter of time till their names collide and you can't tell them apart by name alone.
9. Cosplay Company / Photographer company / Magazines / Publications / Websites XIUREN / DJAWA / PURE MEDIA / LOOZY / Young Animal / SEVEN D SISTERS / COSSUCHI / SEX SYNDROME / etc Some cosplayers have worked with some companies and can help narrow down identification Some Cosplayers work with MULTIPLE companies. This excel entry should not include 1 trick pony production companies.
10. Collaborators This entry shows other cosplayers that have appeared in cosplay photos with Bailey loves chocolate 白莉爱吃巧克力 Useful for galleries that identify only one cosplayer and the other 2-3 cosplayers are unknown, it may help This data should be an excel comment instead of a field entry so that it doesn't interfere with your search function
Excel is not just for taxes and accountants, but for porn too!
Or you can go into the forums and petition to create a unique english tag for the cosplayer.

great works for providing detailed information, appreciated small correction in 9, it should be XIUREN and not XUIREN, in case anyone need this. In spite of that, i strongly advise people not to use company name to classify your folders, you may find some cosplayers have double or even more company's collaboration, and worse case some fake shell company steal the set and claim to be theirs, usually by erasing cosplayer's name for example.
Yeah it's best to classify by cosplayer and not by company name in the folder structure. If you feel it is too limiting, then that is what excel is for. Excel expands aliases and creates associations cause you can't type everything into a folder name.
Usually I add company name after the e-hentai gallery title in the folder name and in brackets like [DJAWA] So my folder structure looks like this: Cosplayer - Original/part of the e-hentai gallery name [company name if applicable] [anime series - anime character]
The "Original/part of the e-hentai gallery name" is key since if you ever need to find the gallery on e-hentai you have the exact asian or english characters to find it again on e-hentai As for why I always manually type [anime series - anime character] near the end, you need that since some e-hentai gallery titles are written entirely in chinese/japanese/korean so adding a bit of english at the end helps identify whatever you downloaded at a glance without having to google translate everything. Sometimes you don't need to type the anime series and/or anime character if it is already included in the Original e-hentai gallery title. The example below I only added [fate] since saber was part of the Original e-hentai gallery title. Cosplayer - Saber [fate]
Company names can have synonyms and you will need to add those synonyms in your excel file as well. DJAWA can sometimes be called DJAWA Photo. BEJEAN can sometime be called BEJEAN Online. Pick a short standard company name (since you are will keep on typing it) and keep using it. If a new variant shows up add it to your excel file.
@Zwei ahah amazing xD Well, I had never thought of an Excel tbh but I don't think I'd really need one, so far I've almost never been tricked and in case of doubt I can use the search function directly on my collection to find out. My usual naming convention is: [company name/photo studio name or w,e] cosplayer - title of the rom / set (character - series or series - character); most of the times everything half english and half chinese or japanaese so I have like all the possibilities 😂 Amaziiinnnnn
