It's funny how in both the old EU comics and the canon Clone Wars, Obi-wan and Ventress always had a more, sort-of intimate relationship as enemies, despite her arguably encountering Anakin frequently.

Even Grievous has a debate between himself and Obi-wan, while Anakin seems to have a very conventional hero-villain relation with their enemies.

Tbh, I think it's more that Anakin doesn't care to get to know those around him, be it friend or foe. His wrathful and brash nature just doesn't appeal to the possibility of "friendly competition" either.

The only people he cares about are those that have had their due time with him, i.e, Padme, Ahsoka, the civilized man himself, and a few others.

After Ventriss turned over a New Leaf (from Wanna-Be Sith to Bounty Hunter), I thought she was on a road to redemption, and I kind of shipped them, hoping it would lead to that (to make it work in canon, she probably gets killed sommetime before "A New Hope", and he is so heartbroken he never talks about it to anyone).
