Exploring AI-powered image creation, mainly using Stable Diffusion. It's free and open source and you should try it if interested. With it anyone can create beautiful images, but it takes practice and effort to get results exactly as you want. For me an image series like this takes about 2 days work on average, and I love doing it. You can explore so many fantasies and imaginary worlds.

The technology for this is about one month old, so everyone here is a noob. You will see much variation in quality from shit to spectacular.

I wish there was be a category for AI art. There will be tons more, as more people discover the technology, and there should be an easy way to filter it out. It's fair that not everyone wants to see this.

It's not that people don't want to see this, it's quite impressive specially since the technology is so young... but these types of pics should not be allowed here, since everyone can make this there is the potential of endless unending amount of pics to be uploaded, most of them not very good.

This site is for illustrations and/or photography drawn/made by real people.

A fair point. It's definitely something for the community and moderators to consider.

Then again, it's not easy making AI-powered images look good. As with traditional methods, getting good results requires craftsmanship.

You could arque that *anyone* can make traditional drawings as well, and churn out low-quality content. For me at least, making a singe good image with an AI takes more time than it would take me by drawing. (My background is in tradition arts.) So it's not a simple question.

Interesting to see how this new tech divides opinions. Whenever I publish my work, I tend to get about 50% lousy votes, and 50% people who Favorite the gallery and/or follow me. So it clearly serves a niche.

I really don't have strong opinion on this, I just do what I love doing.

"Then again, it's not easy making AI-powered images look good. As with traditional methods, getting good results requires craftsmanship."

Tweaking prompts and repeating inputs until you get something that doesn't look like shit isn't "craftsmanship" you jackass. You aren't an artist, you'll never be an artist, and this will never be art in anyway shape or form. All of you losers are fresh off NFTs, and already on to another scam after shitting your pants in front of everybody with those. Fuck off.

edit: really neat that almost all the the people with the largest vote power downvoting this post have barely uploaded a fucking thing. Really interesting. Definitely shows that the people actually contributing to the site matter less than a bunch of forum ass kissers and sockpuppets.

And no, I guarantee you don't do any of that shit. You're trying to pass AI off as art. You're already a proven liar.

1. I usually start by making a rough sketch with Photoshop. This is to guide the AI into what composition, pose, framing and colors I want.

2. Then I feed it to the AI.

3. Then it's "tweaking prompts." This involves experimenting with different lighting, camera lenses, art styles, wardrobe/architecture design etc.

4. Then it's editing the details, painting out parts of the image I don't like, and guiding the AI into redrawing whatever elements I want to change. Adding details etc.

5. Making iteration after iteration until I reach a satisfactory result.

6. Then it's finishing touches with Photoshop.

Take it as you will. I just make pictures. If you don't like it, please skip my posts. Peace out.

Ok fair enough, but you have to understand that YOU do those steps, YOU take the time... most people, if not all, are not going to. They are just going to press a few buttons, generate like a thousand garbage pics in half an hour, upload everything, and do the same thing the next day.

And then we are going to have 100 galleries uploaded every day with 1000 trash pics each one.
I understand the effort, and I appreciate it, but I still think these do not belong here.

Heads up, setting the discussion on wether or not AI generated stuff is allowed at all aside for a second;

The Speechless requires there to be a textless narrative. This gallery does not have text but does not really have a narrative either.

For future galleries, just don't touch the language settings in the gallery creation screen, default settings result in no language tags at all, which is correct for image sets like this.
