Sad story. Hopefully she didn't get pregnant here. The person she loved is likely never coming back and at some point, she'll have to accept that. Either accept the new version of him or move on with her life. But if she intentionally gets pregnant, she could get stuck in a spot where the man she loved is for all intents and purposes dead and the man she's stuck with is one she doesn't love. A sequel that shows from his perspective would be great; does he love her? Is the reason he's so distant because of his own regrets? Life must be hard having lost virtually everything including a person you loved from a young age. But what if he can't bring himself to respond to her feelings feeling as if she doesn't love him but an entirely different person?

There's likely not a happy ending here.

Unless there is a sequel showing that he regained some of his memories, highly doubtful, then this ending was just sad and depressing. Her desperation is not rewarded, her love is not coming back, and they are likely to drift apart as he is literally a different person and living with the memories of who he was but only ever being able to see who he has become would be psychological torture to her.
