I think that's just mangaupdate's mistake in filtering, MTSP is Japanese, it's pretty wild he went writing a manhwa of all things even if it does happen from time to time with some artists, it's still rare. Considering the transition would've been an official manga, that would be more believable.

His last activities were in 2020 based on twitter and his website, all just hope he didn't suffer from the pandemic or another cause. Even fellow Japanese natives on his twitter don't exactly know what happened and there was no official news regarding him passing away nor even confirmed. It's hard to say what really happened, I felt like he's more of a recluse than we thought, considering probably not even his closest friends or family knows he was doing doujins, no one bothered saying an official response.

This is one reason why I sometimes hate artists can be recluse, it's really hard to accept not knowing what happened to someone you used to read or like works just suddenly vanish into thin air.

Wherever he is, I hope he will come back. Best wishes for the guy. He wrote some of the best series I have ever read.
