PRODUCT REVIEW: Itou Heavy Industries Robot Schoolgirl "Hitomi."

Initially, I was excited to get Hitomi, the latest schoolgirl model from Itou Heavy Industries. Compared to the Sorayama robot girls, I found that Itou's models looked twice as nice at half the price. However, after I got my Hitomi robot, I learned that you get what you pay for. Granted, the Hitomi is very cute with soft plas-skin and expressive face. But to achieve that realism, Itou cut corners on the robot's build quality and AI functions to keep costs down.
Once a week, my Hitomi would come back home from robo-school, her left arm torn from the shoulder down. White android blood would be leaking from her stump with no emergency shutdown sub-command enacted to stop her bleeding all over my floor. When asked how she lost her arm, my Hitomi's schoolgirl AI routine would try to reply to the question as some kind of tropey high school drama event, leading to a cascade failure and soft lock in Hitomi's AI that needed to be reset. Later, while running diagnostics on her AI, I found that Hitomi lost her arm from letting it stick out the school bus window. I've tried reinforcing the arm structure and reprogramming Hitomi's AI to not to stick her arm out, but with no luck fixing the problem. The act is a hard coded bug in her AI. I did creat a workaround by ordering her to walk home from school instead. But yesterday, she limped home with a broken leg. She tried to trip over an oncoming car by sticking her leg out. Another hard coded AI bug.
Overall, I would not recommend the Hitomi robot from Itou. She breaks too easily due her own faulty AI. For the amount I paid in replacing several of her broken arms & leg, I could have bought a Sorayama twice over. Unless you like heavily modding or jailbreaking the AI, stay far away from the Itou brand of schoolgirl robots.
