I have ruminated on this in comment sections of other galleries before.

I think it's because 1) they look genuinely happy, rather than just the overwhelmed ahegao/mind broken look, 2) they look positively lecherous, and 3) they manage to still be kind of cute.

My favorite thing about Kaguya's stuff, apart from faces, is that usually people end up happy, even if it's a weird, twisted sort of happiness, or if they lost their original goal and found a new path. They seem genuinely pleased with how things have turned out, and that makes it easier for me to have fun with the story.

Sometimes, they've got a good sense of humor to them, too. The idolm@ster ones they did were brilliant.
