@solkim Mom NTR is still *extremely* niche and the amount of titles released relating to it are still very low, but it' is true that recently there has been an uptick in mom NTR content. It's just a coincidence. There isn't a large enough market nor cult demand from the tiny fanbase for mangaka to appeal to such fans. Loli, yuri, yaoi, tentacles, gender bender and even vanilla all far eclipse mom NTR's demand so don't worry, it'll go away real soon. The laws of economics are immutable, even here.

I don't know why @CatOfDarkness is getting so many downvotes. It is not that bad of an analysis. All of the old notable mother NTR artists still produce content, it is just what we are seeing now is other NTR artists try out their hand at mother NTR. As an artist that mainly does NTR, you can only do the regular wife and girlfriend NTR so many times before you want to try other themes. You couple this with the odd new artist that does mother NTR as their first or second published work, and you have the illusion of it having a monumental rise. That is not to say there is not a small uptick, but nowhere as being as notable as some users think on a whole.

You also have to keep in mind that NTR always ranks number one or two in Japan fetish polls, so again it is just a coincidence and a numbers game. You have a large number of NTR artists that didn't do much or any mother NTR at all, all giving it a go in a similar time frame. Some of the above mentioned new artists might see this, and try to get on it. They'd view it as a market trend that will make their name known. So it would be a trend, but again not as big as some users think, or for the reasons they believe.
