In the FateGO it always seemed like Boudica had a dark past, and is hinted in most of her doujins that we know of.
We thought that the FATE series(the games and shows) character backgrounds went like this:

based on real people ---> some version of known history happened plus fiction to fill in the blanks
based on fiction ---> whatever is the most popular version of the fiction
based on nothing ---> a mix of whatever it was inspired by, plus fiction

I think my biggest problem with FGO is how most characters are treated more like mindless servants interested in the master than as historical/legendary figures. Sure, Artoria fell in love with her master back in the day, but there was way more to her character than just that, and her affection to Shirou was conditional: she only showed feelings for him in the scenario where he showed feelings for her. When every servant is in love with the master, the only stories that can be told (in hentai) are master x servant or ntr. And that got pretty old already. Sorry I know I need to stop acting like a shitty old Fate fan, but it does impact my porn

This is one of those ShindoL works that I respect the hell out of for delivering something unexpected in an H-manga really well, even though it doesn't do much for me as porn. Ah well.

Anyway, I was interested in the afterword, but it's not translated here beyond probably the most boring part of it. I knocked out a translation (sorry for any errors, it's been a while since I've done this) in case anyone else is curious.

Historically, Boudica is known for having been raped by the Romans, so I figured that a short manga packed with such an intense story would be easy to make.
However, something that seemed so easy instead turned out rather hard to make. There were no handholds to grab onto.

Observing that there's no element of the historical Boudica in FGO beyond the character design won't change anything. Even so, when I set out to draw Boudica, I wound up with this story.

Bou-mama was the first character in FGO I raised to max bond and max level, so I've given all of this some thought. Her character design's amazing. It's so hot.

Also, the one bit in this book I enjoyed drawing the most was Nero-chama...

Others have correctly pointed that Boudica starts this doujin at maximum ascension, yet as the story progresses she downgrades all the way to first ascension (a clever representation of her degrading humanity as the thirst for revenge consumes her completely).

Still want a Berserker and/or Avenger Boudica, it's 2023 but hope dies last.
