I can't really remember so I'll have to go back to read the older comic, but part of the confusion was that it was two stories that were put into one gallery. But the story with Fanny was actually a dream.

He understands the appeal of his work lies in sex, and crafts stories that revolve around and/or move towards that (same as how many plots involve conflict so as to drive things toward fighting).

@IngmarS Nobody wants trans people depicted or understood as they are shown in porn, but as far as the comic goes, it at least has the decency to show that Fanny is a transwoman, and also that she's a slut — these two things are wholly separate. In the grander scheme of the comic she's no less weird or absurd than any other character. Her deviancy and her identity are kept as separate topics, which they should be, because they are.

I'd also say you really can't isolate the comic, because Fanny is a character who exists in her universe as a trans character. That's been established and all.
