I'm not certain, but I don't think dialogue qualifies this character as f:orc? I'm honestly by visual indicators only, considering tagging this as f:elf because even f:monster doesn't accurately reflect the tagging definitions.

Welp as usual sniped cause a rando (well technically not anon this time I guess) commissioned a meh mid group again instead of waiting for something with quality from RedLantern. Gonna discuss this with danky cause it's either gonna get pushed back like other stuff that gets sniped nowadays or less likely dropped all together cause I'm feeling that good old BLEH by now. Will probably just wait till the next part of this or the mainline series and put stuff up as a block way down the line.

@Kuperman: As I said this is less about the snipe and more about the quality (I have gotten pissed about certain snipes in general but this and some others lately are more depressing/disappointing than anger/annoyance inducing). Honestly having seen cute make comments on your guys galleries before such as here and mistranslated lines like this versus Coff's from the Enokido story (along with the points I made in my comment on your gallery) make me wonder about you guys charging people for stuff. The Enokido example also seems more about wanting to speed run that one versus Coff as well. (It's not that you guys are MTL level, it's that you're in the weird middling ground where stuff just gets a passable note but still has issues that shouldn't be getting through with a reasonable QC or such...it's speed subbing and scanlations all over again. But while also being commission based.)

Besides, RL's dropped tons of stuff that it might have or was working on when getting sniped by other groups/uploaders if and when it wouldn't be justified in bothering to do another version (cause you know those groups/person did seem to take a bit more time on it). In this case I just figure it's not worth moving on it for the time being. Gonna wait till the next work and lump them together (hopefully/probably/likely).

@CriticZ: No doubt there, but people should understand what you might get from making that choice. Just looking to have a quick English TL to fap to this? Then this is perfectly fine in that regard. My older uploads almost all used to be like that till I started to realize the crap I was commissioning and putting out was not that great of a thing to do to the site.

EDIT02: Figured I'd poke in here one more time since I uploaded today. Tweaked something in my initial paragraph and clarified a bit (like this). Also, love the multiple convos going on here. NGL, I actually got confused by the dark elf girl in the 4th work till I had the TL so I get the issue being discussed here.

BTW, never said RL had dominion over this work, I guess getting messages and interaction from others inquiring about comments and projects is a foreign concept to you and a lot on the site. Also, I guess we can hope you do eventually fix some stuff as you noted now since it doesn't seem to usually happen often from a quick screen of your uploads. Did you really kill that one QCer? lol

tl;dr: But well yeah people will go where they can find TLs/EDs I suppose. I just hope you are reasonable about cost to them for commissions since you are technically providing a service/good. You just open yourself up to more stringent critique when you start taking money for this kind of stuff.

@Supasang: That's a double edged sword there buddy. RIP likely better versions of this and this... This gallery and those (especially the Aomizuan one) seem to have a lot in common. At least nkaR is a cool dude.

@Megaton You mean that comment from 2 and a half months ago about how they'd work on it? Is that supposed to be a "keep away" sign for every other person that wants to see content translated? Then I don't know what to tell you.

And I'm only talking about this one, I've seen other "will work on this :)" comments on doujins from september-october? last year (I won't even mention which, try and make memory on all the stuff that's probably been "marked" like that) that I've tried to respect, I told the person requesting it that another group was supposedly working on it and there's absolutely nothing yet, so now they're asking me to do it again because they don't want to wait anymore, people want content and they'll commission it to whoever will have it out.

I have absolutely nothing against redlantern staff or anyone associated, I like their releases like many others do, but seeing this kind of comment as if they're the only group that should release ever or should have the highest priority or power over a book is just very pathetic. I've had other groups do stuff I was either commissioned or planned to do for myself (to varying degrees of quality), you know what happens then? You shrug your shoulders, go "oh well" and carry on. Not leaving comments trashing other groups that had the time to work on it.

Edit: That Enokido example was something someone commissioned and asked me to rush it as soon as it came out a few days in advance, so I did exactly that and they were thankful, I could have posted it a few days earlier, but I waited for a time more people would see it, I wouldn't have known when Coff was working on it or when they'd post it because this was all something someone asked before there was a chance for that, And I'll give you that example you linked, that was absolutely subpar but it was entirely because of the situation I was in at the moment (which you don't need or care to know about), the commission was for a friend, he's aware of how it is and why and he's cool with it, I do plan to fix it but it's not really a priority right now.

Quality is important, yes, but it's not like any other commissions I've worked on are incomprehensible, go complain about all the MTL'd translations for that, people that care about detailed quality will chose a group that has that, people that want content out sooner will choose a group that can meet that, the option to choose any group for any content someone wants translated is what keeps this whole system moving, if something you wanted to do got taken then better luck next time, or still work on it and upload a better version, who cares, people are gonna see two releases and choose the one they want, I'm only doing what people asked me to do, and if they came to me, well, it's for a reason.
