I feel the biggest problem lately is that the majority of translators, even those who actually understand Japanese or Korean, aren't even well versed in English and yet they still insist on "translating" to English. Thus we get the most wooden and basic of basic reading translations.

actually a lot of overseas author are starting to release english translation along with the raws
BUT most of them use MTL like google translate or DeepL. They didnt even use somekind of qc or typecheck (like grammarly)
Only a bunch of them use a genuine translation service (like Chabashira for example)

So yeah, if you want a good translation, save some dollar for those scanlators or wait patiently like the rest of us
