Props for giving context, but wikipedia is half correct, as usual.
Chuhaister isn't a wendigo or Cain from vampire flicks. He's a benevolent forest spirit that protects people by murdering malevolent forest spirits (e.g., mavkas), hence there's a female's torn arm on p2.
But like in all fairy lore, you don't want to fuck with benevolent spirits either. Chuhaister usually keeps to himself, but will occasionally approach campfires during the night. Then two things may happen:
A) He'll be pretty chill, talk with you through the night, and then leave.
B) He'll be pretty chill, talk with you, and then invite you to a dance off.
The thing is - he uses infinite stamina cheatcodes. But if you refuse the dance off, he'll rip you to shreds, like those mavkas 10 minutes ago.
If you lose, he'll also rip you to shreds. If you somehow win, he'll reward you with a magical item.

Chuhaister is exclusive to Ukraine, but creatures like him (i.e., protects you until he doesn't) are common in european folklore.

@FarkyMac To be fair, while Pseudo-Nim's comment doesn't sparkle of pure kindness, it's not exactly an angry message either. It's a pretty frank definition of the tag "translated".
And while I agree that some of these tag definitions does not match up with the common understanding of a word or phrase, which means that _using_ the tags can feel a bit arbitrary, the rules are as they are.
