In this fifth installment of the story, the vampire slayers Sarah Werner and Zach Hood of the Order of Fortis continue their investigation of the mysterious forces at work in the city of Windenburg.

As they search for clues, the vampire lord Matt Zarovich plots with his new vampire bride Kathryn, the former duchess, to separate the two vampire hunters so that he can ensnare Sarah in his clutches and turn her into one of his vampiric concubines.

Will the vampires succeed in transforming Sarah into the very thing she's sought to destroy, or will the slayers prevail and defeat the vampires...
