With no disrespect to palcomix, you would’ve thought that with roughly 20 years of being in the hentai/western comix industry that their art style would be fully polished and be something to behold at! But instead I see their recent stuff (past year or two) and the art is comparable or at times a bit worse than something they’ve drawn about 10+ years ago.

And before I get people hounding at me and hurling abuse etc, an artist always improves on their work over the course of their career and even then they still think they can do better.

@un_known: You aren't alone with that opinion. I often wonder if they are cycling through new artists, or they just go "Oh joy... Another MLP commission..." and just rush it out in record time.

@un_known and @ l4chuga: I have pretty much no doubt they have a whole stable of artists they burn through. Given the way the dude running the site comports himself (he's a self-flagellating, arrogant, exhausting drama queen) and the various ways he shows he isn't good at business or communication I have to imagine he churns through artists at quite a pace. It always reads sketchy to me that the person who scripted the comic gets the nod, but that the art is always "Palcomix Team", even when the art style noticeably shifts. It all has that Palcomix look, yes, but the art does not line up and there's no continuity of style you see within the folio of an individual artist over time.

Put another way, when the guy behind Palcomix (BBMBBF AKA Pietro) does a thing it's always credited as such and it's clearly penned by the same guy. I simply can't say the same thing for most of the rest of their comics output. It's not that it doesn't improve, it's that it clearly doesn't stay the same.
