Listen, i don't give a damn if it's retcon, one should always respect the author, we keep criticizing localizers (rightfully) because they change the author's view, but if we also disregard the author's statements then how are we any better than the localizers we hate?

Also, this won't change the EH tags, Bridget will still be treated as "male: tomgirl" and yaoi since tags consider only body type, so can you please stop bitching about it?

@rick-kun the authors of bridget were Emiko Iwasaki(Art) and Norimitsu Kaiho(lore), they both left the Arcsys. Daisuke only played a small part in Bridget's creation, that's why he always changing his tone on every interview, and always contradicted with his previous statement about the his inspiration of bridget.

Secondly, the statements about Bridget being trans are dishonest. In their marketing in japan, bridget are still referred as a boy or otokonoko. But in western marketing they do the opposite, Daisuke admit they changed the content for "global standard of compliance". They want to have it both way by splitting bridget into JP version and Politic Correctness version, that means Daisuke are aware of the contradiction and the western exclusive retcon was made for lucre instead of character growth

The worst part about the bridget retcon is how it literally completely destroys his entire character and promotes grooming.

He gets groomed from birth by his village into being a girl, and he spends his entire life fighting that grooming. And then the retcon happens and he's like "oh yeah they groomed me successfully I actually am a girl".

This is not a trans problem, it's a grooming and retcon problem. If Daisuke just created a completely new character and made it trans, nobody would give a shit. It's because he took an established character, destroyed his background, and promoted grooming, all to appeal to the left, who don't actually give a shit about the game. The left couldn't name 3 characters in Guilty Gear not named Bridget. They have no idea about Bridget's backstory nor do they care. All they care about is hitting check boxes and then moving on to the next thing to destroy.

The only good thing to come out of the destruction of bridget's character and promotion of grooming is that it made the left admit that they will defend and promote grooming and pedophilia as long as they can get their trans check boxes.

florida recently passed that anti-groomer bill, which only bans sexual discussions in school with children aged 8 and under. why does any teacher, administrator, or guest need to have discussions with children age 8 and under about sex?

now there's a new law being passed around where they're banning drag shows and sexuality shows in front of children. immediately the groomers freaked out again. why does someone need to explain dildos and anal sex to 6 year olds?
