In the near future: Due to a high rate of repeat criminal offenders, and with the consideration of victims in mind, criminals lost their human rights. Those who commit serious criminal acts become the property of the country and are forced to serve and do hard work as lifelong slaves.
Some in power exploited these new laws and made the M.A.I.D.S System in order to fulfill their own desires. Ignoring their rights as human beings, female criminals are being made into "slave maids".
The story so far seems to set up the protagonist, the black haired female girl in a school outfit, and her pitiable fate. She is being interrogated by police as a "suspect" in an airport bombing. She is framed, threatened and forced to admit to her "crime" (the officer threatens her with her sick mom who is in hospital, requiring money for treatment, and if she doesn't fess up, then..) The moment she says "I did it", she is knocked out and wakes up bound and hooded in one such maid mansion.
Shortly after dressing our protagonist is brought outside, and alongside many other maids, witness the exceedingly harsh torture and execution of a maid. The latter was caught planning to escape, and when asked if she has any last words, as a last act of defiance she spits in the head maid's face. At the end we see the [executed, no, "dismissed"] maid lowered into a preservation vat of some sorts, as her body can still be sold for research purposes. Finally, our protagonist faints from the shock.
My thoughts: I think that the art is incredibly well done, and the story telling is superb. I really dislike snuff in any forms in erotic works as a personal preference, but I have to say that it adds to the realism of the situation and the urgency of how bad a world our unfortunate slave maid will have to live in. I look forward to seeing more from the author, and hope he continues this story.
P.s. From pixiv comments, this manga appear to be based on a novel, but I am not sure which one or where to find it (it might be that the manga author also wrote the novel. Unsure).
