The truth is we buy these doujinshis from comic market, kemoket or alicebooks. After purchase we will scan these works （split them into one page by obe）, translate and type.
Since the works are bought by different people in the group and belong to the translation group, it's unlikely to upload the Japanese raws.
Another reason is that we want who love these works buy themselves,therefore the artists can get more money and create more wonderful works.

Like, I get your attempted reasoning and all, and it's similar to the Korean uploaders too. Very rarely are the raws uploaded too.
But you can't mental gymnastic your way to make it sound like it's helping the creators; when scanlating it is literally already an act of republishing without their permission, especially to a MUCH bigger potential zhongwen audience. However I'll credit that they may have suffered less losses at least thanks to sheer volume of sales alone from the larger market.
Just let me wallow peacefully in the fact that I can't read my fap materials, without any attempted moral grandstanding, yeah?
