I’m shocked to see so little discussion here.

This is at least as good as the now-classic They Won’t Mind. There are details where I would have made different choices, but as a whole, this is one of the most enjoyable things going on in the galleries nowadays.

I’m finding Sophie’s casual look especially hot. Rose’s is really nice too, but the way she’s going out of control is calling forth feelings mixed enough to distract me. I’m rooting for her to get a happy yet believable ending.

Every time I return to this gallery, I like Veronica more.

It’s embarrassing to admit it, but I’d feel a bit jealous if Funkybun did a one-on-one story featuring Zoe and Veronica.

I think I want a comic about Veronica playing with her toys. My headcanon: she has a few, not many, keeps them well hidden, and takes good care of them. She bought her first one when she was single, and that took a lot of courage.

Well well, maybe one day I’ll join the ranks of Funkybun’s paying supporters, and dreams like this might be a bit closer to reality...

Perhaps the only thing that’s present in all or nearly all Funkybun works is some form of exhibitionism. In my opinion, more interesting than discussing what all Funkybun stories are about is what they do not feature (by this point). I don’t think I’ve seen anything exclusively cis lesbian, I don’t think I’ve seen any rape, and I don’t think I’ve seen any depictions of (distressing-level) jealousy or loneliness. All of these are widely available in comics by other authors nowadays, so I’d say ’Bun is doing a good job bringing a bit of balance to the porn market.

I dare you, folks: correct me if there are mistakes in my statements above, and come up with other aspects of sexuality we have not seen in Funkybun comics in any form!

@Katajanmarja Nah, seems to me that people who have issues with funky is because the trans characters aren't trans for fetish reasons, but because that's who they are. Some people just want it dirty, and funky is not about that life, it seems. Which is refreshing, because like you said, there's plenty of others doing the other side.

Funkybun is an amazing artist. Very wholesome stuff, and very well drawn art. Self-discovery would be another usual aspect of these stories.

Another furry artist who also makes tasteful stuff focused on queer characters, self-discovery, etc, is Glopossum. I recommend their stuff.

Am I normally looking for trans content? Not really, no. Do I check for Funkybun updates nearly every other day? (Professor Farnsworth voice:) Oh, my, yes.

@ Derpydum: It never occurred to me that the works I linked were "earlier". Maybe you know better, having browsed the original sources, then. The earliest Funkybun work known to me was They won’t mind, which was indeed "exhibitionism first, trans second", as Somercet put it. That was followed by some lesser works starring Rose, as well as A Bag for Two and Skinny-dip, which were all "exhibitionism first, trans second", too. In my eyes, Too Big to Fit and some other titles have appeared to be "later" works expanding the horizons, and On Full Display has been something of a return to the roots.

80% sounds a lot to me, but not entirely impossible, especially if we count pages instead of titles. It also matters a lot how much we emphasize Cassandra’s role in Emil’s adventures (Café Exposé through There’s No I in Threesome). I see Cass as a side character, making those primarily cis exhibitionist comics; but at least There’s No I can indeed be seen as trans erotica.

I cannot deny that my tone might, at times, sound condescending to someone who is actively seeking chances to feel offended. Yours, then, has gotten outright impolite. Furthermore, you are increasingly implying that being transaffirmative is a problem, without referring to why it would be. My opinion is that publishing transaffirmative erotica is a beautiful thing. Most importantly, it is constructive, unlike bashing or burning comics with more old-fashioned attitudes (an activity of which I am, to put it mildly, not a fan).
