Rapel I know it's frustrating, bit this kind of reaction never helps. Try to be logical even if it's hard because of the circumstances. A lot of people haven't got the funds nor financial freedom, but being kind can bring people over.

Really the best approach was one suggested by Gabe Newell, the guy who founded Valve/Steam.

Treat pirates like your 'competitors', as in offer a service they can't provide.
Your best bet is community interactivity, as in polls or maybe a tier to request quick sketches. Artists who so that tend to have good subscriber bases.

A poll could be like one a week I'll offer a few potential artworks and all subscribers can vote, etc.

I'm going to be honest too, good community interactivity has gotten me from pirating art to longtime high tier subscriber a few times even when I already had access via piracy.
