ok, start. has some plot issues.

Amelia is having way too much fun, for a person fleeing her home, abandoning her people.
potions don't have expiration dates in this I guess. not smart drinking random potions that have been sitting around too long..
there is no plan? the plan is just escape. no plan for escaping to get re-enforcements or anything. better not let any of the guards/help here any of this. they might not be so happy that the lords are fleeing with their lives, leaving all the men/women and children to be press ganged into this other guys service..

If having a son is so important, I'd wonder why these potions haven't been considered before? in fact, why is having a son so important at ALL if perm gender change potions exist?
You'd think Amelia would have been given one as a child before she even hit puberty, or when her older brothers died. the phrasing son does seem like it was a recent death I suppose. but still, oops all sons, would have been the sane option at birth.
