It's also possible that Stuckey is right and that age is catching up to him. We have no idea how old he is. While it's THEORETICALLY possible that he's something like 35 and been in the business since he was 20 or maybe even 16 or some such... it's also just as possible that he's 50 and starting to feel his age.

The fact that he's been so slow about releasing more digital work and whatnot seems to imply the latter tbh. Which might mean that we might only have another 10 years of this artist being around if we're unlucky.

Well, if we're unlucky, an artist can die at any time, so there's that too, but there's no point in being that pessimistic.

I don't really know anything for sure about his age. I'm essentially speculating based on what facts we do know. We know, for example, that Matai Toshi is ~11 years old, and that Rindou was active for some time before he did any work on Matai Toshi stuff. We can guesstimate that he's been active for at least 15 years as an actually published artist. Possibly up to 20 years. However, I don't know at what age you can actually start to Publish adult works in Japan and when you can start participating at stuff like Comiket as an artist. Assuming it's 18, or was 18 at the time when he started, we could get a minimum age between 33 and 38 years old.

However, Artists don't pop out of thin air, and back when Rindou started, Digital Media wasn't anywhere near as common as it is today. We have no idea what other work he might have done or if he ever used a different name... or a lot of stuff really.

We do know that his oldest works predate pixiv (launched in 2007 as a beta) and Twitter (launched on 2006). Ryoujoku no Rensa (https://e-hentai.org/g/13484/899bf32b14/) is from 2006 for example, and chapters from it appeared in the 2d Dream Magazine (ex. Vol. 30) before the tank became a thing in... around November I think? It was near the end of the year. Then there's this (https://e-hentai.org/s/c2c5374e2e/424457-241) from 2005, that I don't think most people even know about, and I only know about is because his sakura.ne site thing mentions vol.20 as something he illustrated in. Basically, a lot of Rindou's really early work completely predates modern social media as we know it today, and it's basically impossible to fully track down his start point. It's easy to forget that the base of the current style of Rindou only started solidifying around 2008 with the Asuka and Shizuru manga.

It wasn't until around 2010 that Rindou's style solidified into the one that remains recognizable as the same artist until today, even though he obviously adjusted in various ways over the past 13 years.

So yeah. Even if we were to speculate that 2004 is the earliest that Rindou was active in as an artist and that he was 18 then, that still comes up with a minimum age of 37 years old. However, it doesn't feel like that tracks properly. (This is based off of https://www.dlsite.com/maniax/work/=/product_id/RJ003215.html, which is the oldest work of his that I can find right now.)

So yeah, depending on circumstances and various factors, Rindou could be as young as, theoretically, ~37 years old. Or he could be as old as 50. We simply don't know for sure. I'm leaning towards older rather than younger, however.
