Part of the problem is that you have Fern's face too small, so it makes you look weird. But hmmmm.... if you don't want to show your entire face, what if you use one of those health masks like from Covid? Or maybe just a black bar across your eyes? I donno.

@Lily Starless Since I started I simply cropped the pictures (or rather taken pics with an intentional crop as I like the style) but also it kept bothering me that I have a set with kemonomimi or twintails... but ultimately nearly none of the pics would show them (unless they were taken from the back) ;.;

I experimented a bit with avatar size and in all cases I just "stopped whenever going either way felt uncomfortable/uncanny" - actually funny thing is that face isn't "too small" - in most instances it's bigger than IRL face behind it. Probably due to the wig creating additional bulk and distorting proportions. :/

That was exactly my thought ~3 years ago and I just started doing it for the sake of doing it. Turns out it's a really fun process.
