It's pure wish fulfillment. But it's a wish I'm betting many of us have. That Glaceon sequence in particular is one that I thought, please let there be just one more where we get to see the kid to make the fantasy complete. And my wish was more than granted.

Edit: And then Gamma did it again with the Sylveon sequence when I thought, if this ends with her in a wedding dress I'm just going to be so happy.

As much as I like the direction this story is going- especially since I didn't expect this to become more of an actual story- I wish the flow of dialogue bubbles was a bit clearer. This is at its worst in the "talking to granny Bewear" section, where the second of the three pages was especially difficult to parse what order I am supposed to read the text in.

Very good art overall, but this aspect is frustrating.

I never said she was unbeatable, I said it was a bad matchup, Gardevoir is already way better than Espeon without any boosts

Maybe throw Shadow Balls at Gardevoir ? Espeon cannot learn any Poison type or Steel type attack moves that are supereffective on Gardevoir.
