Man, the art and female designs were so fantastic, but the way the story was written is so angering, frustrating, and generic once again. Ain't no way in hell a man, husband, father, would let a bastard have his way with his wife, and rape his daughter! Obviously, this obeys hentailand logic, so it's pointless to pick apart the plot Cinemasins-style. However, I very much doubt that king would put himself into a vulnerable position there. Even setting aside the whole 'raping man's family in front of him' thing, it's probably not the best idea to lock yourself in a room with an armed man if you don't control the situation. Which means that he probably did. There are a bunch of crazy hentai logic explanations (he gave MC a fake sword, he was confident he'd defeat MC bare-handed, there were hidden crossbowmen behind the curtain, etc.) and there was a realistic explanation that MC not only knew that escape was impossible, but also was aware of punishment for regicide which historically has been very much worse than an ordinary death. The only sensible action for him was to cut his losses, give up his family and ask king for favors. This is something that probably happened in real world on a regular basis, I'm sure most people, if anything, would get excited at the prospect of king fucking their wife and daughter.
