Yeah, sadly low effort and low quality "translations" are allowed. We have "rough translation" and "poor grammar" tag which may help to identify bad translations, though to tag these one has to make a comment and point out several errors which can be a bit annoying/tedious, especially the rough translation part.

Go to My Home -> My Settings *click*

Scroll down to Excluded Uploaders

Put in the name of the users you want to block.
Scroll down again and click on Apply.

I mean, technically you can say these are defaced. If the "translations" don't match what is being said in Japanese, it is just putting random words all over the pages, therefore making a gallery of inferior quality of a previously existing gallery.

I've tried to use this manufactured logic to give people an out to do something about galleries such as this, but there are some people who believe this has merit in translation. We have an expunge mechanic.

I can see the point of machine translation, if you don't speak the language and still want to access it, I use it myself a lot for older hentai where it is very unlikely that they get a proper translation (But I dont upload those), its better than nothing and has gotten good enough that you can actually figure out what is going on.

But still, there needs to be a function to easily filter those, or its gonna be like with AI art all over again, proper translations take time, I could pump out dozen of those shitty translations in a day using a macro. I dont want to sift trough garbage either, I use this site cause people actually translate stuff on it and not spent a couple minutes running a macro.

There really needs to be a proper way to filter them, but at least right now you can still sort them out by the rating.

Seems like we'll be able to at least use "rough translation" as a way to filter/highlight or in general be aware of MTL content even at a glance.
