The interesting part about it is that she doesn't simply go door to door selling medicine on demand, but each household is instead consigned a medicine box by Eientei Pharmacy stocked with common remedies and medicines, which Reisen then inspects on a regular basis and only charges a fee for whatever medicine was used from the medicine box's stock. This system is commonly and more concisely known as "okigusuri".
