This is the main source for scanned doujins and other sites scrape content from here. Audience in those other sites have... uh, less standards we can call it, when it comes to content. Sadly, they get thousands of views there. So yeah. We may give MTL content a lot of hate here but the majority of the unwashed masses don't really care. Much.

I created a bounty to find a proper translator. As for me, I'm willing to work on it as an Editor / Typesetter.

The answer for your first question is "Attention" in my opinion. Nowadays some people would do ANYTHING in order to get some attention, like some drug addicts. They would happily bash their heads against a wall over and over if they can get their daily fix.
