In cases like these, I generally feel like people use certain tropes in order to fit into a certain block, rather than because they necessarily think it's good or necessary.
Kinda like how Fate/stay night is an eroge, albeit it has routes like Fate, where the sex scenes are almost entirely redundant, almost shoved-in last minute, and can be easily written away.

@alephdalet Vol 4 is the most recent officially published volume. He's still releasing chapters on Comic Walker but I guess they haven't compiled a volume 5. Based on numbers of chapters per volume, there should be enough for a volume 5.
